Council Election August 2008

All members of the Girl Scouts of Rolling Hills Council (registered adults and girls 14 and older) are eligible to vote in the upcoming Council Election. The election will include:

• Voting on the Agreement and Plan of Merger for Girl Scouts Heart of New Jersey
• Ratifying Bylaws for the new council, Girl Scouts Heart of New Jersey
• Adoption of the Council Realignment Blueprint (an all-encompassing document outlining the realignment process, vision for the new council, governance structure, etc.)
• Election of members and officers of the Board of Directors of the new council, Girl Scouts Heart of New Jersey, and Board Development (nominating) Committee
• Election of delegates to the National Convention in Indianapolis Fall of 2008

Voting Procedure
Voting will take place by ballot within each Service Unit. See Voting Locations for the time and location of voting in your Service Unit. Your Service Unit's Council Delegate will report your Service Unit election results and deliver your ballots to the Joint Meeting of all three councils to be held September 6, 2008 at the Union County Performing Arts Center in Rahway, NJ.
