Camp Staff Training
Staff training consists of one day and one evening. Both trainings are held at Camp DeWitt.
Camp Safety Training is Wednesday, May 28 or Thursday, 29 from 6-9pm at Camp DeWitt
Camp Training is Saturday, June 7 or Sunday, June 8 from 9am - 5pm at Camp DeWitt

Business Manager
7-week position
Monday thru Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm
Requirements:
Age 18 or older
Education in accounting or related field
Participate in open house, staff training, pre-camp setup and post-camp closing
Responsibilities:
Manage trading post and program center
Manage food preparation
Provide support for Day Camp Director
Program Director
7-week position
Monday thru Friday, 8:00am-6:00pm, plus overnights
Requirements:
Age 18 or older
Dependability, flexibility, ability to handle stress of job
Appreciation of outdoor living
Participate in open house, staff training, pre-camp setup and post-camp closing
Responsibilities:
Manage program sessions, scheduling
Order & maintain program materials
Provide support for Day Camp Director
Health Administrator
7-week position
Monday thru Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm, plus one overnight per week
Requirements:
Age 25 or older
Certified RN
Participate in staff training, pre-camp setup and post-camp closing
Responsibilities:
Oversee health center
Administer medications
Maintain camper medical and attendance records
Possible supervision of additional nursing staff
Pool Director
7-week position
Monday thru Friday, 8:30am-4:30pm, plus one late night per week
Requirements:
Age 21 or older
Current WSI, Red Cross Lifesaving and CPR/First Aid certifications
Experience with children
Participate in staff training, pre-camp setup and post-camp closing
Responsibilities:
Maintain pool records
Oversee pool area
Supervise lifeguards
Work with groups of children, ages 5-16, in Red Cross swim program
Nurse
7-week position
Monday thru Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm, plus one overnight per week
Requirements:
Certified RN
Participate in staff training, pre-camp setup and post-camp closing
Responsibilities:
Maintain health center

Trading Post Clerk
7-week position
Monday thru Friday, 8:30am-4:30pm
Requirements:
Age 18 or older
Skills in sales, computers
Experience with children
Participate in staff training, pre-camp setup and post-camp closing
Responsibilities:
Transact sales
Maintain camp store inventory
Maintain daily & weekly sales records
Work with groups of children, ages 5-16
Program Specialist
Description: Develop and implement one of the following program areas
Music, nature, arts & crafts or sports/games
7-week position
Monday thru Friday, 8:30am-4:30pm, plus possible overnight assignment
Requirements:
Age 18 or older
Background/skills in education, recreation or out-of-doors related field
Experience with children
Participate in staff training, pre-camp setup and post-camp closing
Unit Leader
Description: Lead a group of girls, ages 5-16, in a Girl Scout camp program
Monday thru Friday, 8:30am-4:30pm and possible overnight assignment
Requirements:
Age 18 or older
Experience working with children
Enjoyment of the out-of-doors
Commitment to a full week
Attend staff training (one evening and one day)
Bus Monitor
Description: Oversee bus attendance and safety
Requirements:
Age 18 or older
Current Red Cross or American Heart Association CPR/First Aid certifications
Experience with children
Commitment to a full week based on bus departure and return dates
Attend mandatory training (one evening and one day)
Lifeguard
Description: Work with groups of children, ages 5-16, in Red Cross swim program and recreation under Pool Supervisor direction
Monday thru Friday, 9:00am-4:30pm, and one late night assignment
Requirements:
Age 16 or older
Current Red Cross Lifesaving and Red Cross or American Heart Association CPR/First Aid certifications
Experience working with children
Commitment to a minimum of 3 full weeks
Attend mandatory staff training (one evening and one day)
Bus transportation provided
Junior Counselor
Description: Co-lead a group of girls, ages 5-16 , in a planned Girl Scout camp program under the supervision of a Unit Leader
Monday thru Friday, 8:30am-4:30pm, and possible overnight assignment
Requirements:
Age 16 or 17
Experience working with children
Enjoyment of out-of-doors
Commitment to a minimum of 2 full weeks
Attend mandatory staff training (one evening and one day)
Bus transportation provided
