Family Support Program |
The Family Support Program gives parents the opportunity to support Girl Scouting at Rolling Hills Council. With a growing population of 10,400 girls and 5,400 adults, Rolling Hills Council provides:
Thanks to the enthusiasm and dedication of Rolling Hills Council families, the Family Support Program has been growing steadily. This is good news for troops too because 25% of every donation is rebated directly to troops to support their activities. Rolling Hills Council is proud of the partnership between families, volunteers and Council. This strong partnership sustains our mission to help girls grow strong, build social consciences, learn skills for the real world, and enjoy the power and friendship of girls together.
Leaders provide donor forms and envelopes at parent meetings early in the year. Donor forms include information on matching gifts and United Way designations to Rolling Hills Council. Please return completed forms to your troop leader. When a donation or United Way designation to Rolling Hills is received at Council, the 25% rebate will be sent to the troop.
Last year, thanks to the generous support of Rolling Hills families, our troops received rebates totaling more than $34,000! Family Support donations help us to provide quality programming for more than 10,400 girls and we are proud to report that these girls donated more than 136,000 hours of service to our community in the scouting year 2006-2007. Our thanks to the troop leaders whose hard work and enthusiasm continue to strengthen the partnership between our families and our Council.
