Games for Girl Scouts Pilot Project |
|
GSUSA is in the process of creating an updated edition of Games for Girl Scouts. With the
assistance of Girl Scout troops/groups, they are hoping to create an "engaging, fun and
indispensable resource for all troop leaders of Daisy, Brownie and Junior Girl Scouts." Over the course of the next few months, please take some time during each of your troop/group meetings to "test-drive" one or several of the games and activities listed below. Once you've completed the activity, we want to hear from you--what worked, what didn't, and what could be improved. For each and every activity your troop/group completes, we would like for you to fill out an evaluation form. The more detailed the evaluation, the better this resource will ultimately be. Please do not hesitate to tell us if an activity needs to be rewritten, deleted or added. (If you have an original game you think we should add, just follow the format provided and include it with your evaluation materials.) Please note that this resource is very flexible--several of the indoor activities can be adapted for the outdoors and vice versa. Also, some of the quiet indoor activities may also be used as travel games and vice versa. Please let us know how they worked for you. We tried to keep equipment needs to a minimum. Most of the items needed you will have around the house. Please contact Kym Mottern at Council if you need specialized equipment like jump ropes or balls. GSRHC has a variety of sports equipment that can be borrowed with advance notice and a deposit. |
