Golf: Dottie Giesler Foundation, 192 Merry Lane, Hillsborough, (908) 874-6943. Private foundation to promote and benefit junior golfers through a variety of charitable programs. Offers golf tournaments and college scholarships. Executive Women's Golf Assocation of Central New Jersey, P.O. Box 8093, Bridgewater, (732) 828-4653. Fosters and promotes a spirit of acceptance, dignity and respect for career-oriented women golfers. Green Knoll Golf Course, 587 Garretson Road, Bridgewater, (908) 722-1301. This regulation, 18 hole, 6,443 yard course is a challenge to the experienced golfer, as well as the beginner. Green Knoll is known for its tight fairways and rolling contours. The facility also operates a lighted 9 hole par three Pitch and Putt Course. A golf shop and snack bar are available. New Jersey National Golf Club, 579 Allen Road, Basking Ridge, (908) 781-9400. Golf club which promotes golf as a sport. Club offers golf lessons and holds fundraisers. Quail Brook Golf Course, 625 New Brunswick Road, Franklin Township, (732) 560-9528. This 18 hole, 6,617 yard course is heavily wooded and is known for its rolling front nine and tight, hilly back nine. A driving range is also located at this facility. A golf shop and a snack bar are available. Rutgers Golf Association, 777 Hoes Lane West, Piscataway, (732) 445-2631. Provides competition for weekend golfers who can't afford a country club. Meets from March to December at Rutgers Golf Course. Spooky Brook Golf Course, 582 Elizabeth Avenue, Franklin Township, (732) 873-2242. This relatively flat 18 hole, 6,612 yard course is known for its spacious greens, tees, and fairways. Easy to walk. A driving range is also operated at the facility. A golf shop and snack bar are available. Warrenbrook Golf Course, 500 Warrenville Road, Warren Township, (908) 754-8402. Warrenbrook is a heavily wooded and extremely tight 18 hole, 6,372 yard course. The contours provide plenty of uphill and downhill lies. Gas cars are recommended.
