The 2008 National Council Session and Convention will take place at the Indianapolis Convention Center, Indianapolis, Indiana.

National Council Composition

The membership of the National Council consists of delegates elected by Girl Scout councils. The number of delegates representing each council is determined by the size of their girl membership. Rolling Hills members will elect their delegates in the August Council Election.

Proposals

There are six proposals originated by the National Board of Directors to be voted on at the 2008 National Council Session:

There are some significant changes that affect the authority the national organization takes unto itself - particularly Proposal 3 that allows the National Board to increase membership dues without the approval of the membership.

Your input on these questions is encouraged. You may submit your thoughts via an Online Comment Form or address your Service Unit Delegate who, in turn, will pass on your input to Rolling Hills National Council Delegates attending the National Session. The proposals will also be discussed in your Service Unit's October Leader Meeting.
