Add-A-Friend Patch

SHARE THE FUN OF GIRL SCOUTING by opening up your troop to a new member. More girls mean more opportunities and exchanging of ideas. Every girl should have the opportunity to become a Girl Scout. All girls and leaders in troops meeting the following requirements are eligible to wear the ADD-A-FRIEND patch or an encore year/star.


  1. Increase community awareness of Girl Scout activities by creating posters to put on display in your school or town to encourage girls to join your troop.

  2. Host an Add-A-Friend activity during your troop meeting. Teach your new friend a new game, song, craft or all three.

  3. Add-A-Friend to your troop.

    1. Add-A-Friend who has never been a Girl Scout.

    2. Add-A-Friend who was a Girl Scout and then decided not to rejoin this year.

    3. Or Add-A-Friend who is a "new" girl in your community.

  4. Submit an Add-A-Friend application to your troop organizer and one to the council office along with the Individual Girl Membership form and the membership fee of $10.00.

The application form must be returned to: Add-A-Friend, Girl Scouts of Rolling Hills Council, 1171 Route 28, North Branch NJ 08876. Form may be duplicated for multiple additions.
