Important Information for Out of Council Troops

The program is intended to raise the girls' awareness and concern for the wellness of the planet. We hope that all troops will participate in this council-wide project. |
| Leaders: Junior Girl Scouts can earn this individually or they may work together to earn it. Please make certain that they understand that adult supervision is required for internet activity There is not a stated number of activities required but the girls should do the activities to the level that they are learning and enjoying the experience. Make it appropriate to your troop members. There is a list of many good "green" websites (Girls Go Green Links) that you can refer to for more activities, tips, facts and more. | |
There are four areas of activities:
Use the Girls Go Green Worksheet to record your activities.
Mention:
Learn some terms (supply simple definition):
Do a quiz, play a game, do a puzzle and report the activity. Use the Girls Go Green Links page to find an activity. Try a "Green" Craft using recycled materials.
Find out some surprising facts about "Greening our Planet." For instance:
Report three other surprising facts you found.
Pledge to adopt a new green habit. Complete the bottom portion of the Girls Go Green Worksheet.
