Program boxes are available in the Blumberg Library, at the Council Service Center, to help
leaders provide program for their troops. Some have come to the Girl Scouts through outside
agencies, but most have been developed by our own volunteers, leaders like yourselves who
felt that you would enjoy NOT planning a meeting for a change.
Program boxes may be signed out for up to 5 working days through the
receptionist at the Service Center. Boxes may be reserved in advance. You may request a reservation online or call the Service Center.
Boxes will be checked for completeness at time of
sign-out.
There is a $5 usage fee to maintain the supplies in all the boxes
(except Brownie Songs and Brownies and Beyond for which there is a charge of
$.25 per songbook.)
A $20 deposit is required and will be returned to your troop when the box
is signed back in. If any parts are missing or damaged, the entire amount will be retained
until replacement or repairs are complete and any remaining funds will be returned.
There is a $1/day late charge.
When returning items plan at least 10 minutes in your schedule because we
will check for completeness and damage before the item is considered returned.
Some program boxes require a little preparation in advance of the meeting.
Be sure to familiarize yourself with the contents and activities before your troop meeting.
