Baked Apples

Apples bake while you're eating.

Ingredients

  • 4 apples
  • 1/4 cup red cinnamon candies
  • 1/4 cup raisins
  • 4 teaspoons water
  • Butter or margarine

Equipment needed

  • Apple corer
  • Heavy-duty aluminum foil
Cut heavy foil into four 12x12-inch squares.  Core apples, enlarging center opening slightly.  Place 1 apple on each piece of foil.  Fill centers of apples, using 1 tablespoon each candies and raisins.  Add 1 teaspoon water to each; dot with butter or margarine.  Bring up foil loosely over apple and twist ends together to seal.  Cook directly on medium-low coals, turning often for 20 to 25 minutes or until done.

Makes 4 servings.
