Honey Bears

This recipe is a good addition either to cold cereal or another breakfast item. It should not be eaten as the "main" breakfast item as it will not give the girls enough energy for that hike or other activity you have planned for the day.

Ingredients

  • uncooked dinner rolls (enough for each girl to have one)
  • butter
  • cinnamon & sugar mixture

Equipment needed

  • equipment: stick
  • 2 pans
  • potholders/oven mitt
  • fire
  • grate to put over the fire
Place an uncooked dinner roll on each girls stick (the stick should have some green underneath the bark for best results). Cook roll until toasty brown.

At the same time put butter in a pan and melt it over the fire on the grate, and add the cinnamon/sugar mixture to the empty pan.

When the rolls are toasted and the butter is melted set up a station for dipping.

First roll the cooked dinner roll in the melted butter, then roll it in the cinnamon and sugar mixture.

Lastly, ENJOY this sweet breakfast treat.

Makes 1 per girl.
