Patches Plus Shopping Tips for Leaders |

Let girls pick their uniforms Encourage parents to take their Girl Scout to visit the shop when purchasing a uniform. It helps to have her there to try things on and to assure that the girl gets a uniform that she is comfortable with. (She won't wear it if she doesn't like it!) Iron-ons Recognitions are NOT iron-on unless they come packaged on a cardboard backing with iron-on instructions. Ironing patches that are not meant for this purpose will melt them. Hot glue guns should not be used to secure them either for the same reason: the heat will melt the backing. These must be sewed. Copyright Laws Books and materials produced by GSUSA are protected under copyright laws. DO NOT PHOTOCOPY - it is illegal. Each girl should have her own copy of a handbook and age appropriate badge book as a part of the Girl Scout programming. They are excellent resources. Leaders should have their own copies for planning purposes (along with their Leader's Guide). Pre-orders and Payment Options Orders may be faxed to (908)725-4933 - no phone orders, please.
